Mr. Handy holds the rank of 1st degree Black Belt in Shingitai Jujitsu as well as Brown Belts in Judo and Gung Fu. He has also earned his Blue belt from Renato Tavares, a 3rd degree black belt who trained under the late Carlson Gracie Sr. His linage goes thru both Carlson and Helio Gracie. Renato has more then 30 years of Jiu-Jitsu experience and is an active member of American Top Team. Mr. Handy also has trained in Boxing under Esteban Leon and Muay Thai Kickboxing under K-1 fighter Jeff Ford. At Blue Springs Jujitsu he teaches No Gi Jujitsu classes, MMA, and Kickboxing. He is an MMA fighter and is in charge of setting up the MMA matches for our students who wish to test their skills in these types of competitions.
